Will not refund me my money, event was meant to be in November last year, we're now in June and they still refuse to pay me back. Do not waste your time, terrible after sale service.

No refunds available for cancelled events. They stole my money - and from the looks of it - hundreds of others' money also.
I can't see how they can come back from this. Stealing from your customers has not historically been a great way to ensure repeat business....

Apalling company to deal with! It's been a hard year for everyone, but they don't care. They just care about making interest on everyone's money that they have held for the last 1.5 years.
**I did successfully get a refund through contacting my bank and applying for a visa credit card chargeback for no service recieved**
I highly recommend anyone else who has paid via visa card to do the same! Spartan will fight back but if you push the fact that you have paid for a service that they have not provided, the banks will pay you back.
After the Melbourne/Aus 2020 race was postponed and finally cancelled, I contacted Spartan requesting a refund as I myself had been made redundant due to Covid and I am also pregnant with twins! Like everyone else- they didn't care and refused a refund, giving me credits to use within 10months- except they failed to secure any locations remotely close to the original location I paid for!!!
Just pathetic! Fight tooth and nail for your money if you can, they definitely don't deserve it!

I have been a loyal racer since 2016 and although the experience isn’t always awesome, I would actually enjoy the misery...yeah I know its weird....but after spending thousands in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and not receiving any refund after the shutdown and then recently...
In November 2020, I registered for two races (me and my son) for Austin, TX on May 16. I became very ill on Tuesday, May 9th and tested positive for Covid on May 11th. I tried to find out how to defer the race but I was unable to login to many of my accounts to include my email due to my email getting hacked. I sent an email on Wednesday to Spartan and they said I couldn’t defer so close to the race so I’d have to choose another race. Not only is there not a race that works for my work schedule, but i wasn't physically able to change anything online, which is why i emailed for help on Wednesday...After i received a response it was too late to defer (there is a 72 hour no deferment before a race...why? emergencies happen) and there are no other races that work for me. So, I requested a refund. It’s against policy to waive fees to register for another race, even if a racer has covid or some other ailment or disease, and if another race doesn’t work, a racer is unable to receive a refund even if they have Covid. I chose to be responsible and not attend the race. Why does Spartan not offer a refund under certain circumstances? And why do they no offer insurance like an airline or travel agency? This only makes sense.
At the same time I registered for the Austin Race, I registered for the NATS stadium race for April 10th, 2021, it was postponed by Spartan and moved to September but I cant make that date. And since that doesn’t work, I have to pay a fee to defer to another race or just eat it, even though its not my decision to choose that date. The Spartan brand only cares about their bottom line, not how their racers are affected and thats truly a shame. I pray these greedy cucks go bankrupt!

Bought 5 tickets for a race. THEY canceled the race and the following year offered zero races in my state. Will not give me a refund. I will never buy a ticket from them again and you shouldn't either! They can cancel your race at ANY time and not give you back your money!!!

While I purchased the Trifecta in 2019 to be completed in 2020, the unfortunate event of a worldwide PANDEMIC occurred!! As the year passes by, our races are constantly being rebooked time and time again without the option of getting a refund!
Customer service is unhelpful. When wanting to move your race date or transfer to another person because you are now unable to keep scheduling a new date after new date after new date,.. they want to charge you an ADDITIONALLY $35!!! ..... Why aren't you giving us $35 every time you move our race dates!!!!! MAKES NO SENSE!!!!!

Race is already incredibly too expensive for something that is literally no different than any of the other races. Then, if something comes up and you can't attend the race and try to transfer the ticket, you have to pay a $35 FEE. WTH is that for???? $35???
Oh, and then when you transfer the ticket, that person you transfer it to still has to pay the insurance instead of being able to just transfer that over.
Literally just a company that is stealing your money. How they made a big name for themselves, I don't know. Garbage company. Will never give them anymore of my money.

Took my sisters money and then cancelled due to Covid (which is fair enough) but would only offer a credit to an event in another state! Won't answer her emails requesting a refund and deleted her from their Facebook page when she raised it with them there!

Wish I could put Zero Stars. The Spartan Race organization is a joke. They act like they care about health and people. Yet when a global pandemic hits and they cancel their races, do they refund those people who signed up?..No. Instead after contacting them about a refund they say well we gave you a deferral code for a race next year (2021) and if I didn’t want to do that then I get a 100$ gift card to their online store..awesome but I have no interest in any of their gear and I’m losing money on that deal. 2021 race schedule is limited and I’m not able to make any of those races so now I’m out of 175$. This policy by Spartan Race shows how little they care about people and how much they care about money. If they would have returned my money I would probably have signed up in the future for another race once the pandemic slows and more races are available in my region but not now.

Tried to unsubscribe from a feature on their site and was told it was taken care of when it was not. Eric R. gave me a hard time when I tried a second time.

Extremely disappointing company. I had a race booked for 2020 in Tirol Austria, this was cancelled due to the pandemic. I've tried to contact them but no luck, I've also tried to get my money back via my bank. However, this has not been successful as my bank informed me that I agreed to the terms that I won't have the right to claim my money back if they cancelled.
If you are thinking of buying race tickets, don't. There is plenty of better companies which has much better races and T&C.

To add to previous comments very disappointed with Spartans customer care, also had a race booked with Toughmudder and received a full refund as soon as it was clear that there would be no 2020 event. Wil not book a race with them again. Hope Toughmudder steps up with more races.
